We are currently seeking a proactive, organised, and customer-focused Sales & Marketing Assistant to join our team in Northumberland. This is an exciting opportunity to support a dynamic sales and marketing operation within the specialised Air Traffic Control (ATC) and technology sectors.
Location: Cramlington, Northumberland
Salary: £25,000 – £40,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: 35 hours per week (Flexible hours, early finish on Fridays)
Start Date: As soon as possible
About The Role
As a Sales & Marketing Assistant, you\’ll play a vital role in supporting our sales and marketing activities, assisting with customer communications, preparing sales documentation, and coordinating marketing campaigns. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a varied role and is eager to build a career in a specialised and rewarding industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Sales & Marketing Manager with customer accounts, lead management, and sales processes
- Prepare quotes, proposals, and tender documents
- Respond to customer inquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Maintain and update the CRM system with sales data and customer interactions
- Assist with marketing campaigns, including email marketing and social media activity
- Help organise trade shows, exhibitions, and client meetings
- Conduct market research to identify new opportunities and industry trends
- Liaise with internal teams to ensure efficient order processing and after-sales support
- Produce and analyse sales reports for management
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a sales or administrative support role (ideally within a technical or B2B sector)
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- Knowledge or experience in marketing is desirable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM systems
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Engineering or technical sector experience is highly desirable
- Familiarity with aviation, ATC, or technology industries is a plus, but not essential
