Catering Assistant - Durham

Description

We are looking for Catering / Kitchen Assistants to work in schools who are full of enthusiasm and are eager to gain experience in kitchen environments to join our Back of House team in Durham.

Using our scheduling software, you can view all upcoming opportunities (including full details of hours, location, and pay) and book your selection, as well as set any of your unavailability within the app.

Working for us you will be:

1. Washing, peeling, and preparing ingredients.
2. Cooking, following the instructions given by the chef.
3. Ensuring the kitchen is fully equipped and in good working condition, reporting any issues to be resolved by management.
4. Stocking the kitchen with supplies and organising the stockroom, including monitoring of sell-by dates and rotating stock.
5. Monitoring ingredients and reporting order requests.
6. Assisting with the general cleaning duties of the kitchen, where required.
7. Working and communicating effectively within the kitchen team and with Front of House team members.
8. Completing due diligence and ensuring full compliance with relevant Health and Safety and Food Safety regulations (training provided).
