With over 630,000 professionals trained to date, including those from some of the world’s leading organisations, we are one of the UK’s fastest-growing, technology-led training providers. Our mission is simple yet powerful: continuous innovation in upskilling on a mass scale. We specialise in delivering apprenticeships and professional qualifications that meet the evolving needs of modern employers.

Role Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Apprenticeship Coach to deliver our AI-focused Digital Support Technician programme. In this role, you will be responsible for guiding, coaching, and assessing learners throughout their apprenticeship journey, helping them to achieve success and realise their potential. You will play a key role in shaping the learner experience by delivering high-quality coaching and creating a culture of continuous improvement. You’ll manage a caseload of up to 50 learners (excluding those with planned end dates or on break in learning), typically spread across two cohorts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Induction & Onboarding: Lead and support learner inductions and initial assessments. Conduct initial learner visits within 14 working days of programme commencement. Assist in timely completion of skills scans and onboarding visits.
  • Coaching & Assessment: Deliver engaging, structured coaching sessions aligned to the curriculum. Stretch and challenge learners to exceed expectations and achieve higher-level outcomes. Liaise with employers to tailor learning plans and ensure alignment with job roles. Prepare learners for End Point Assessments (EPA) through mock assessments and structured preparation. Adhere to the Digital Support Technician assessment framework and stay updated on any changes to the apprenticeship standard. Collaborate with the delivery team to enhance quality and learner experience.
  • Learner Progress & Pastoral Support: Conduct regular progress reviews and set SMART targets with learners and employers. Identify and address additional learning needs, working with support teams and external agencies where appropriate. Ensure a safe, inclusive learning environment promoting safeguarding, Prevent Duty, and British values. Encourage the development of English, maths, and professional soft skills. Support off-the-job training initiatives and workplace learning integration.
  • Performance & Impact: Ensure timely completion of all required paperwork in line with EPAO regulations. Achieve timely learner completions and appropriate interventions to support progress. Maintain high levels of learner attendance, retention, and engagement across all cohorts. Use employer and learner feedback to inform continuous quality improvement. Proactively address and escalate any learner risks or concerns.
  • Quality Assurance & Compliance: Ensure full compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements including Ofsted, ESFA, and awarding organisations. Take part in internal verification, standardisation activities, and peer observations. Work towards (or maintain) IQA certification as part of role expectations.
  • Administrative Duties: Accurately complete administrative and reporting responsibilities in a timely manner. Support the development of learning content, knowledge base materials, and shared best practices. Ensure effective learner tracking and data accuracy across platforms.
  • Professional Development: Undertake and actively participate in CPD, including Level 3 teaching qualification and IQA training. Contribute to curriculum improvement, programme builds, and innovation across the organisation.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in coaching, teaching, or mentoring, particularly in digital or technical environments.
  • Experience delivering apprenticeship programmes or regulated qualifications.
  • A proactive and learner-centred approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to quality and compliance.
  • Willingness to undertake required qualifications (teaching and IQA).
  • Experience with safeguarding, Prevent Duty, and British values within an educational context.
  • Familiarity with Digital Support Technician or related apprenticeship standards.

Safeguarding and Compliance:

This role is subject to:

  • Enhanced DBS check.
  • Receipt of two satisfactory references.
  • Completion of safeguarding, Prevent, and British values training (unless exempt).

We are committed to maintaining a safe and inclusive environment for all learners and staff, and operate a strict adherence to GDPR, confidentiality, and equality legislation. e-Careers is an equal opportunity employer.
