Role Purpose

The Apprenticeship Coach – Accounts will deliver outstanding teaching, learning and assessment across Accounts Levels 2, 3 and 4. You will guide apprentices throughout their learning journey, ensuring they achieve their qualifications, develop professional skills and are fully prepared for End Point Assessment (EPA).

This role combines subject expertise, coaching, mentoring and quality assurance to drive excellent learner outcomes and support business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging and high-quality apprenticeship coaching in accounting, soft skills and related topics
  • Support learners from induction through to programme completion, providing regular progress reviews
  • Develop personalised learning plans in collaboration with employers and apprentices
  • Deliver 1:1 and group coaching sessions remotely
  • Prepare learners for exams and End Point Assessment, including mock assessments and feedback
  • Identify and support learners with additional learning needs
  • Promote safeguarding, Prevent and British Values throughout programme delivery
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with ESFA, Ofsted and Awarding Body requirements
  • Contribute to curriculum planning, resource development and continuous quality improvement
  • Work closely with EPAO, internal quality teams and Heads of Faculty
  • Support recruitment and employer engagement where needed
  • Drive learner retention, progression and timely completion
  • Undertake continuous professional development to stay current and effective in the role

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Industry experience in accountancy
  • Strong knowledge of financial and management accounting
  • Ability to deliver clear explanations of complex topics
  • Excellent coaching, teaching or mentoring skills
  • Strong communication skills and professional presence
  • Organised, proactive and able to manage a remote caseload
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and online learning platforms

Desirable:

  • Experience teaching apprentices or delivering vocational training
  • Coaching, assessing or teaching qualification
  • Experience supporting EPA preparation
