This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Multi Trade Operative to join a reputable company delivering high-quality work across a varied and interesting portfolio of public sector sites. The Role
- Working across local authority properties and facilities, you will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks to a high standard.
- No two days will be the same — you'll be a key part of a skilled team keeping public buildings and infrastructure in excellent condition.
- Your day-to-day duties will include:
- Brickwork and stonework repairs, repointing, and making good
- General building maintenance across local authority properties
- Plastering, patching, and rendering repairs
- Minor carpentry, joinery, and door/window repairs
- Basic plumbing and drainage maintenance
- Groundworks and external repairs as required
- Liaising professionally with site managers, local authority staff, and residents
- Completing job sheets, risk assessments, and maintaining records accurately
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Multi Trade Operative, ideally within a maintenance or facilities environment
- Strong brickwork and/or stonework background is highly desirable
- Experience working on local authority, social housing, or public sector contracts is advantageous
- Relevant trade qualifications (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent)
- Valid CSCS card (essential)
- Full UK driving licence (essential — van may be provided)
- A self-motivated, professional attitude with excellent time management
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
