Main Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assessment and Case Conceptualisation
    • Conduct psycho-educational assessments for children referred to DS-LS.
    • Develop individualised support plans based on assessment findings and multidisciplinary (educators, family, therapy team) input.
    • Conduct School Readiness Assessments (SRA) and/or Comprehensive Needs Assessments (CNA) to support assigned children’s school placement, if required.
  • Intervention and Consultation
    • Provide direct intervention for children recommended for DS Psychology packages, who are identified to have socio-emotional, behavioural, or learning challenges.
    • Provide advice to Early childhood educators on modification of the learning environment and removing barriers to facilitate learning in classrooms, as required.
    • Conduct psychotherapy and counselling for children with mild emotional needs such as anxiety.
    • Support/endorse the IEP and EOI prepared by the therapist/LSEd.
    • Conduct transitional planning from one educational setting to another, if required.
    • Offer consultation, coaching and workshops to LSEds, educators and parents to support positive classroom behaviours and emotional regulation for children under DS-LS program.
  • Programme Development and Support
    • Collaborate with team members to review and refine intervention plans and strategies.
    • Contribute to capacity building by developing tools, workshops, and resources for educators and parents.
    • Participate in research and programme evaluation projects related or unrelated to the DSLS programme.
  • Documentation, Monitoring and Reporting
    • Maintain accurate case documentation and progress reports in accordance with DS-LS standards.
    • Participate in evaluation and data tracking to inform programme outcomes.
  • Professional Practice and Development
    • Adhere to professional and ethical guidelines as set out by the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS).
    • Participate in mentorship, peer discussions, and professional learning within E-Bridge’s DS-LS framework.
  • Centre Support for Inclusive Practices
    • Provide consultation to educators and centre leaders on supporting children with diverse needs.
    • Participate in all DSLS team’s centre-based initiatives, including and not limited to case discussions, classroom observations, educator coaching/training, and parent engagement.
    • Collaborate with centres to identify children with socio-emotional, behavioral or developmental concerns or who may benefit from early intervention services along the early intervention continuum.
    • Support the design, planning and implementation of inclusive practices and adaptations within classrooms to enhance children’s participation.
    • Provide on-going coaching and support for educators in implementing preschool-wide positive behavior support framework and developing appropriate strategies for regulation, behavior and learning.
    • Contribute to the planning and delivery of centre-wide or cluster-level workshops and parent engagement sessions.
  • Additional Responsibilities for Senior Psychologist
    • Provide supervision and mentorship to junior team members.
    • Lead development of resources, workshops, and tools across different therapist disciplines.
    • Support evaluation and refinement of components for inclusive practices conducted within E-Bridge centres.

Skill and Knowledge

  • Master’s or Postgraduate Degree in Psychology (Educational, Clinical).
  • Eligible for a valid registration, license or practicing certification with an established or recognized psychological professional organization.
  • Full membership with the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in early intervention, preschool, or educational settings.
  • Strong analytical, communication, casework management and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of child development, school-based behavioural intervention, and family-centred approaches.
  • Passion for supporting inclusion and early childhood well-being.

Additional Requirements for Senior Psychologist

  • At least 5 – 7 years relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead case discussions.
  • At least 1 year of supervision experience.
  • Experience in program reviews, training delivery and/or working in trans-disciplinary teams preferred.
