Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assessment, Intervention & Consultation
    • Conduct screenings and speech-language assessments for children participating in the DS-LS program.
    • Develop and deliver intervention plans that are embedded within preschool routines, with an aim to enhance children's communication and active participation within classrooms.
    • Provide consultation and strategies for educators and caregivers to support children's development across settings.
  • Collaborative Case Support
    • Participate in case conferences with multi-disciplinary DS-LS team.
    • Support educators and LSEds in integrating communication support strategies into daily school routines and learning activities to build communication-friendly classrooms.
    • Collaborate with team members to review and refine intervention plans and strategies.
  • Programme Development and Support
    • Contribute to capacity building by developing tools, workshops, and resources for educators and parents.
    • Participate in research and programme evaluation projects related or unrelated to the DSLS programme.
  • Documentation, Monitoring and Reporting
    • Maintain accurate case documentation and progress reports in accordance with DS-LS standards.
    • Participate in evaluation and data tracking to inform programme outcomes and service improvement initiatives.
  • Professional Practice and Development
    • Adhere to professional and ethical guidelines as set out by Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC).
    • Participate in mentorship, peer discussions, and professional learning within E-Bridge's DS-LS framework.
  • Centre Support for Inclusive Practices
    • Provide consultation to educators and centre leaders on supporting children with diverse needs.
    • Participate in all DSLS team's centre-based initiatives, including and not limited to case discussions, classroom observations, educator coaching/training, and parent engagement.
    • Collaborate with centres to identify children who may benefit from early intervention services along the early intervention continuum.
    • Support the design, planning and implementation of inclusive practices and adaptations within classrooms to enhance children's participation.
    • Contribute to the planning and delivery of centre-wide or cluster-level workshops and parent engagement sessions.
  • Additional Responsibilities for Senior Occupational Therapist
    • Provide supervision and clinical guidance to junior therapists/LSEds.
    • Take lead roles in communication-related initiatives for E-Bridge centres.
    • Lead or co-lead service improvement initiatives within the DSLS team.
    • Support evaluation and refinement of components for inclusive practices conducted within E-Bridge centres.

Skill and Knowledge

  • Degree/Masters in Speech and Language Therapy recognized by AHPC.
  • Full registration with AHPC.
  • Member of Speech and Language Therapy Singapore (SALTS) or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in early intervention, preschool, or educational settings.
  • Strong analytical, communication, casework management and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of child development, communication development, school-based intervention and family-centred approaches.
  • Passion for supporting inclusion and early childhood well-being.

Additional Requirements for Senior Psychologist

  • At least 5 – 7 years relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated mentoring experience, supervisory ability.
  • At least 1 year of supervision experience.
  • Experience in program reviews, training delivery and/or working in trans-disciplinary teams preferred.
