We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to provide high-quality classroom supervision during teacher absence, ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining a positive learning environment. The successful candidate will build strong relationships with students, promote high expectations, support learning across a range of subjects, and uphold excellent standards of behaviour.

Key responsibilities:

• Supervise lessons during teacher absence, ensuring students remain engaged with set work.
• Promote high standards of behaviour, creating a positive and productive learning environment.
• Support students' learning, encouraging participation, independence and inclusion.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff on learning and behaviour.
• Assist with student supervision and contribute to the wider life of the academy.

Qualifications and Skills:

• GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above) and a Level 3 Cover Supervision, HLTA qualification or equivalent.
• Experience of supervising children in a school environment and supporting a range of learning needs.
• Strong classroom management skills with the ability to promote positive behaviour and engagement.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
• Confidence using ICT and a good understanding of how children learn and develop.
