We are looking for a reliable, confident and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our team at The Parker Academy.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring our students continue to learn, thrive and achieve when their teacher is absent. You'll supervise engaging pre-set work, inspire positive behaviour and create a calm, safe and purposeful learning environment where every student has the opportunity to succeed.
Key responsibilities
- Establishing productive working relationships with students, promoting positive values/attitudes and setting high expectations
- Supervising pupils undertaking work that has been set in accordance with the Academy's policy, under the guidance of teaching/senior staff.
- Monitoring and evaluation of students' responses to learning activities through observation and recording of achievement and providing feedback/reports as required
- Encourage students to interact and work co-operatively with others and engage all students in activities
- Effective use of ICT to support learning activities and develop students' competence and independent use.
Pay range
SCP NJC 17-21: £16,370.75 - £17,490.03 (FTE: £31,022.00 - £33,143)
- Term Time only(39 weeks)
- 22.2 hours per week (0.6)
- Fixed term until 31/08/2027
Qualifications and Skills
- Qualification in Level 3 Cover Supervision or equivalent
- HLTA or equivalent (desirable)
- GCSE Maths and English minimum grade 4 or equivalent
- Relevant experience supervising children in a school setting
- Experience of working with children who have a wide variety of educational needs
