Responsibilities:

  • Supervise pupils during lunch, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and positive behaviour at all times.
  • Promote a calm, inclusive environment that encourages respectful play and social interaction.
  • Support the setup and clearing of dining and outdoor areas.
  • Manage behaviour in line with school policies, addressing issues promptly and fairly.
  • Assist with minor first aid and report any incidents or concerns to relevant staff.

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with pupils and staff.
  • Experience in managing behaviour positively and consistently in line with school policies.
  • Caring, proactive approach to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing with up-to-date training.
  • Teamwork skills with the confidence to work independently when required.
  • Basic first aid awareness or willingness to train; good organisation; general education (e.g. GCSEs or equivalent); prior school-based experience desirable.
