Key Responsibilities
- Implement planned learning activities and teacher programmes as agreed, adjusting activities according to pupils’ responses as appropriate.
- Supervise and provide particular support for pupils, including those with special needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
- Support pupils in social and emotional well‑being, reporting problems to the teacher as appropriate.
- Assist with the implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour plans and Personal Care programmes under the supervision and guidance of teaching staff.
- Establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs.
Pay
SCP 7 – 11 £23,222.16 – £24,751.66 (FTE: £26,406 – £28,142) 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year – Permanent
Qualifications and Skills
- GCSE Maths and English minimum grade 4 or equivalent.
- TA2 qualification or equivalent or relevant experience.
- Relevant educational experience supporting a child/children in a school setting and the relevant age range.
- Ability to work with an individual child or with a group.
