- Supervise students completing pre‑set work and ensure lessons run smoothly in the teacher’s absence.
- Monitor progress, provide feedback to students and teaching staff, and report any issues or concerns to appropriate staff.
- Manage classroom behaviour to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
- Support student engagement, encouraging participation and independent learning.
Qualifications
- GCSE Maths and English (Grade 4 or equivalent) or equivalent qualifications.
- Knowledge of how children learn and strategies to support learning.
- Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students and staff.
- Confidence using ICT to support teaching and learning.
Pay and Working Hours
- Pay range: NJC 12 - 17 £25,152.62 – £27,284.58 + £3,518.09 (Inner London Weighting).
- Working Hours: 37 per week.
- Working Weeks: 39 per year.
- FTE: £28,598 – £31,022 + £4,000 (Inner London Weighting).
