Responsibilities

  • Support students’ learning in the classroom under the direction of teaching staff
  • Assist with behaviour management and promote positive engagement
  • Provide targeted support to individuals and small groups
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff
  • Support students’ academic, social and emotional development

Pay range: NJC 5 - 7 - £19,764.26 - £20,397.76 (FTE: £25,583.00 - £26,403.00)

32.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year

Fixed Term until 31/08/2027

Qualifications and Skills

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above)
  • Relevant TA, childcare or education qualification (desirable)
  • Ability to build positive, professional relationships with students
  • Confidence supporting learning in and out of the classroom
  • Commitment to inclusion, safeguarding and student wellbeing
