Role Description
The Business Development Manager role is a full-time hybrid position with our UK offices being based in Bury and Southam, with flexibility for work from home. There will be a focus upon the Scottish Region with visits to Ireland required.
The individual in this role will identify and develop new business opportunities, build and maintain relationships with key clients and partners, and expand DYWIDAG’s presence across targeted infrastructure sectors.
Day-to-day tasks include researching market trends, preparing and delivering presentations and proposals, coordinating bids and tenders, and collaborating with technical and project teams to align solutions with client needs.
The role also involves managing a pipeline of opportunities, tracking performance against sales targets, and providing regular reports and forecasts to leadership. The Business Development Manager will represent DYWIDAG at industry events and meetings, promoting the company’s capabilities in geotechnics, post-tensioning, and lifespan management.
Qualifications
- Strong business development and sales skills, including prospecting, opportunity management, and relationship building.
- Experience in the construction, civil engineering, or infrastructure sector, with an understanding of geotechnics, post-tensioning, or structural lifespan management considered an advantage.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities, with confidence engaging stakeholders at all levels.
- Competence in market research, data analysis, and using CRM or similar tools to manage pipelines and reporting.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, collaborating with cross-functional and international teams.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with a focus on meeting deadlines and achieving targets.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Willingness to travel as needed to client sites, events, and company locations.
