Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine laboratory and field testing on materials including soils, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt.
  • Ensure testing is carried out in line with industry standards and project specifications.
  • Prepare test samples and carry out testing to assess strength, composition, durability, and performance of materials.
  • Record, analyse, and report test results accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness, calibration, and safe operation of testing equipment.
  • Assist in collecting material samples from construction or quarry sites, often working outdoors.
  • Support the quality assurance process by identifying non-conforming materials and reporting findings.
  • Prepare and participate in internal and external audits and inspections from independent accrediting bodies.
  • Troubleshoot issues with tests, materials, or equipment and recommend corrective actions.
  • Ensure all work complies with health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
