The APTUS Programme lasts up to 48 months and is split into two stages. Apprentices will spend 21 months at college, followed by two years on-the-job training at one of our UK based sponsoring companies.

Being an apprentice gives you the opportunity to gain recognised qualifications, combined with practical training with some of the most innovative energy companies in the world. As an APTUS apprentice you will:

  • Work alongside experienced staff
  • Gain job-specific skills
  • Earn while you learn

Through a random selection process, apprentices will either be part of the programme under OPITO or ECITB. OPITO, the skills organisation for the energy industry, manages the programme on behalf of the operating companies, whilst the Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB) manages on behalf of the contracting companies.
