The Position

When working with Orbex, no day will be the same, and you will be involved in a variety of tasks. Key Responsibilities Of The Role

  • Facilities & Grounds Maintenance – Support the upkeep of all buildings, vehicles, and outdoor areas, ensuring safety, compliance, and high standards at all times.
  • Housekeeping & Presentation – Maintain clean, safe, and well-stocked indoor and outdoor spaces, including meeting room setup, deep cleans, and replenishment of consumables.
  • General Maintenance & Repairs – Carry out routine checks and repairs within agreed competencies, covering storage areas, plant rooms, scaffolding inspections, and waste disposal.
  • Residential Flats Maintenance – Carry out regular checks, cleaning, and upkeep of company-managed residential flats to ensure they remain safe, functional, and welcoming for occupants.
  • Vehicle Fleet Management – Ensure the company’s vehicle fleet is clean, compliant, and well-maintained, including regular inspections, record-keeping, and organising MOTs/servicing.
  • Operational Support – Drive vehicles, operate forklifts, and assist with deliveries or site tasks when required.
  • Team Collaboration – Work closely with the Facilities team, deputise for colleagues, and contribute to smooth day-to-day operations across all sites.

Essential Qualifications And Experience

  • Highly organised with the ability to plan and prioritise effectively
  • Ability to problem-solve and think on your feet
  • Able to carry out a physical workload in different facility environments (cleaning, use of equipment, forklift experience, etc.)
  • Excellent customer service skills (colleague-facing)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Previous experience as a Janitor or Industrial cleaner would be preferential, but not essential
