The Tooling & Manufacturing Engineering (ME) Department has experienced significant growth over the past three years and is now a key manufacturing team supporting Dyson globally. The team comprises over one hundred Tooling Engineers (TE) and Manufacturing Engineers (ME), working collaboratively to deliver world-class solutions. To meet the demands of Dyson’s expanding business, additional manufacturing facilities have been established. This position is responsible for specifying, designing, procuring, documenting, and maintaining systems that support asset management in country operation for Dyson product manufacturing. By streamlining these processes, engineers can dedicate more time to technical work and ensure efficient delivery into production.
About the role:
- Coordinate cross-functional process development, integration, and program management activities.
- Drive continuous improvement across all aspects of operations process management and delivery to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Provide administrative support for Asset Management (DEAMs) TTNF workflow tracking to the Dyson Tooling & ME team.
- Maintain accurate and timely updates of key performance data in Teamcenter and DEAMS systems, including Tooling and P&E transfer locations, parameters, and cycle times.
- Facilitate vendor quotations for repairs and change requests (CR) modifications and collaborate with the Procurement team for purchase order (PR/PO) processing and goods receipt (GR).
- Manage Asset ID assigning, ETF, DFM activities, DPAP processes, and ensure the Tooling & ME database master list is consistently updated.
- Prepare, update, and distribute reports on tooling and ME delivery status, project Capex expenditure, and tool and P&E performance metrics.
About you:
- Education: A degree or diploma in engineering, manufacturing, procurement, supply chain, business process management, information technology, or business administration.
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in managing global or regional programs and complex business process management initiatives.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to coordinate activities in a multifunctional environment and manage multiple teams effectively, using a collaborative and mentoring approach. Must be able to work independently under the guidance of the Operations Process Manager with a high level of integrity.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and spoken English skills, with the ability to communicate professionally and effectively across all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
- Independence: Ability to work with minimal supervision and make sound decisions in a dynamic environment. Demonstrate the ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a responsible and accountable approach to all actions and outcomes.
- Adhere strictly to the organization’s Code of Ethics in all tasks and decision-making processes.
- Possess a clear understanding of the importance of fairness and equity when engaging with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring actions contribute positively to overall business objectives.
- Strong time management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and make well-informed, rational decisions. Demonstrates capability to coach others in decision-making and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- High level of computer literacy, with a proven track record of producing high-quality documentation and confidently utilizing relevant systems to support daily tasks and objectives.
