About the Role

This role requires strong collaboration, insight sharing and influence across international markets to develop integrated communications plans that align with business objectives and position Dyson as a leader in engineering and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement integrated communications plans that support commercial priorities and drive storytelling and thought‑leadership narratives.
  • Lead launch, sustain and drumbeat campaigns, shaping global messaging and creative direction for Dyson Floorcare.
  • Build strong stakeholder relationships and identify compelling stories that resonate with global audiences.
  • Manage end‑to‑end communications activities from strategic planning to execution, focusing on earned press and influencer coverage.
  • Provide strategic communications advice to Directors of Business Units and to Marketing and Communications leadership teams.
  • Manage budgets, secure tools and resources, and oversee launch events, press office operations and global commercial team engagement.
  • Drive a comprehensive program to advance Dyson’s mission across product and internal communications, including event project management.

Leadership and Influence

  • Demonstrate proactive contribution to the Global Communications team, evolving our approach and developing our people.
  • Engage cross‑departmentally to maximise integration of communications throughout the business in all markets.
  • Influence and engage stakeholders at all levels to drive change.

Required Communication Skills

  • Deep expertise in global media, social, and influencer landscapes with ability to tailor campaigns accordingly.
  • Develop new formats and platforms, overseeing real‑time monitoring, analysis, reporting and response to press coverage and social media interactions.
  • Implement crisis‑management strategies and identify emerging issues and opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher; fluent in English; additional language a plus.
  • Minimum 7+ years of communications experience, either in‑house or agency, in a fast‑paced, agile environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to distil information for quality and detail.
  • Proven ability to build and effect change at people and process levels.
  • Superior management and event project‑management experience with influence across the organisation.
