Apply statistical methods where appropriate, ensuring models remain explainable and grounded in business logic. Ensure models are scalable, transparent, and adaptable to changing demand patterns.
- Lead Spares Demand Forecasting: Transition the forecasting function to a robust, data‑driven and model‑based process. Build and maintain forecasting framework across products, regions, and lifecycle stages.
- Achieve Forecast Accuracy & Insight: Define and track KPIs for forecast accuracy and bias across categories and regions. Diagnose forecast deviations by linking back to underlying drivers. Continuously improve data inputs, assumptions, and model performance.
- Global Implementation: Standardise and deploy forecasting models and practices across regions. Enable regional teams to incorporate market insights within a governed framework. Balance global consistency with local responsiveness.
- Cross‑functional Collaboration: Engage with IT, supply chain, finance, commercial, engineering, and regional service teams to ensure data availability, model alignment, and process adoption. Integrate key inputs such as product reliability, service trends, and compatibility into forecasting logic.
- Delight the Customer: Ensure parts are forecasted and positioned so that customers receive the right spare, at the right time, in the right place to reinforce Dyson's Customer Love.
- Support Business Decisions: Translate forecasts into inventory, service level, and working capital implications. Provide insights to optimise trade‑offs.
About You
