We are seeking a proactive and people-focused HR Advisor to support the delivery of a professional and commercially focused HR service across Dyson Farming. The successful candidate will partner with managers and employees to provide expert advice on employee relations, performance management, recruitment, engagement, and HR policy implementation. This role requires a hands-on HR professional who is confident managing a varied workload in a fast-paced operational environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide day-to-day HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on policies, procedures, and employment legislation.
- Support managers with employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, and performance management cases.
- Support organisational change initiatives including restructures, redeployment processes, and redundancy consultations.
- Partner with senior managers to support strategic workforce planning and operational business objectives.
- Provide HR support and guidance during periods of transformation and change management activity.
- Contribute to strategic HR projects focused on improving employee engagement, performance, culture, and organisational effectiveness.
- Coach and support managers in leadership capability, people management, and decision-making.
- Assist with recruitment activities such as onboarding, and induction processes.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation in line with GDPR and company procedures.
- Support succession planning and talent development initiatives across the business.
- Analyse HR data and trends to provide insights and recommendations to leadership.
- Contribute to employee engagement, wellbeing, and retention initiatives.
- Assist in the development, review, and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Support training and development activities across the business.
- Support audits, compliance activity, and continuous improvement initiatives within the HR function.
- Support the implementation and ongoing development of the company’s Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
- Manage and process weekly and monthly payroll, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely completion.
- Carry out any other duties and responsibilities reasonably required to support the effective operation of the HR function and wider business.
- Previous experience in an HR Advisor or similar HR generalist role.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Experience managing employee relations cases independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- CIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards).
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
- Experience within agriculture, manufacturing, engineering, or operational environments (desirable).
- Experience supporting geographically dispersed teams (desirable).
