We are looking for a proactive Health & Safety Coordinator to act as the business’s health and safety subject-matter expert, supporting and advising managers while maintaining strong systems, data visibility and compliance across all sites. You will coordinate health and safety systems and reporting, including incident management, audits (including NFU), contractor compliance and fleet safety. Working closely with managers and our external H&S consultant, you will ensure risks, incidents and actions are accurately recorded, reviewed and escalated where required. This role is critical in providing clear insight, KPIs and management reporting to support continuous improvement, while managers retain responsibility for health and safety within their teams.

Requirements

  • Provide expert health and safety advice to managers and employees, escalating to the external H&S Consultant where appropriate.
  • Coordinate health and safety systems including Clew, FleetCheck and incident reporting platforms.
  • Maintain accurate, visible and timely health and safety data to support decision-making.
  • Coordinate company-wide accident, incident and near-miss reporting and investigation documentation, supporting managers to complete investigations and track actions.
  • Report RIDDOR as required.
  • Produce KPIs, reports and trend analysis for Management and Executive teams.
  • Coordinate the Health & Safety Working Group (HSWG), ensuring actions are completed and outcomes cascaded.
  • Arrange and coordinate external audits across all sites, including NFU audits, liaising with Atlas, NFU, PIB and other partners.
  • Monitor and manage actions arising from audits, incidents and inspections.
  • Coordinate contractor management and fleet safety compliance.
  • Manage fire safety compliance and general health and safety compliance activities.
  • Coordinate health surveillance programmes and appropriate follow-up actions.
  • Deliver and coordinate health & safety training and toolbox talks, ensuring managers are conducting regular sessions.
  • Drive continuous improvement through automation, streamlining and improvement of systems and processes.
  • Undertake other health, safety and compliance tasks as required.

Person specification:

  • Minimum IOSH Managing Safely qualification or working towards NEBOSH or GC.
  • Keeping up to date with health and safety legislation.
  • Organised and able to manage time effectively.
  • Proactive, professional and collaborative approach.
  • Excellent communication skills including spoken and written.
  • Strong attention to detail and confidence working with data and reports.
  • Demonstrate a proactive attitude and commitment to health and safety.
  • Operate to our high standards of compliance.
  • Commitment to undertake continued training and development.
  • Proactive and flexible approach to work.
  • Willing to take responsibility and ownership for tasks.
  • Ability to work under own initiative but also as part of the wider Dyson Farming team.
  • Holds a current UK driving licence.
