Junior Platform Developer is the subject matter expert for Dyson CMS, with a specific focus on Salesforce Marketing Cloud emails, mobile notifications and back-end automations. They are responsible for the creation, maintenance and implementation of Salesforce Marketing Cloud pages and applications which power Dyson email CRM and MyDysonâ„¢ app channels, and process underpinning the delivery of them.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
As a Junior Platform Developer, you are the technical expert for Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC). Communication, collaboration, self-evaluation, and a desire to improve are second nature to you. You understand the need to create robust, testable code and content, balanced against the need to deliver fast. As part of this, you are expected to be at the forefront of the platform for the team which includes requesting enhancements to improve owner experience and campaign capability, being up to date with all functionality, creating guides and documentation on how to use Dyson platforms effectively, and being accountable for training the platforms to others within Group as well as in regional and market teams.
Reporting to the Platform Lead, you will collaborate with Creative teams in group and markets to roll out of SFMC content in line with campaign timings. The process to deliver SFMC CRM is critical to the customer experience and campaign launches. You will regularly collaborate with the regional CRM teams, the Global Head of Retention, Product Owners, and MyDyson app development teams, to ensure we meet business goals and ambition.
Platform configuration is integral to the role’s responsibilities, requiring expert level knowledge of HTML, CSS, MJML, Javascript, AMPscripts, SQL and other platform related skills to get the most out of our content solutions. Examples of this would be creating queries for our databases so that CRM is sent to the appropriate audience and building a catalogue of layouts and modules within emails, notifications, and CMS.
Original content designing, authoring and creation is a key part of the role, where you will become a Dyson product expert working closely with senior category experts such as the Design Manager from Research, Design and Development (RDD) and Commercial Managers to attain a deep understanding of how our platform capability can be utilised for each campaign. Using your platform expertise, you will consult and collaborate with these category stakeholders to design, shape and write end-to-end omnichannel digital experiences to deliver a world class owner experience while surfacing campaigns and new products.
You will be working with cross-functional and global teams across a wide range of languages, where we work with and handover our content to market Digital stakeholders for localisation. Training up market digital teams to make sure they understand the platforms and utilise our content appropriately is critical to the success of our content launch, as well as driving them to deliver quality, consistency, and on-time activation of it.
You will be accountable for leading deliverables and content development projects including New Product Development (NPD), Campaigns, and rollout projects of enhanced digital content capability. When working with NPD or Campaigns you are accountable for ensuring the creation, delivery, launch and testing of content and becoming a key digital stakeholder of a project.
