Quality InspectorLocation: Dynisma, Barrow Gurney, England, United Kingdom
Job PurposeYou will play a key role in ensuring the precision, reliability, and quality of our assemblies and components. Working across metal, composite, and electrical subassemblies, you will perform inspections using both advanced metrology tools and traditional measurement techniques.
You will support the development of inspection processes and methodologies, ensuring all components and systems meet the highest standards of quality before release. This is a handsâon role that requires flexibility, attention to detail, and occasional travel to suppliers and customer sites.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out inspection of incoming, inâprocess, and final components and assemblies, ensuring adherence to engineering specifications and drawings.
Use precision measurement tools including Leica laser trackers, 3D scanners, and conventional hand tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges).
Record and analyse measurement data, preparing accurate inspection reports and documentation.
Assist with calibration and maintenance of measurement equipment and inspection tools.
Contribute to continuous improvement activities aimed at enhancing inspection capability and process efficiency.
Support the development of inspection processes, templates, and work instructions.
Collaboration and Supplier Management
Work with suppliers to align and develop inspection methods for madeâtoâspec components.
Conduct supplier inspections and support quality checks at supplier and customer sites when required.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
Practical experience in inspection or quality control within precision engineering.
Handsâon experience with dimensional inspection tools, including laser trackers, CMMs, or 3D scanning systems.
Strong understanding of engineering drawings, tolerances, and geometric dimensioning (GD&T).
Competent in producing clear and accurate inspection documentation and reports.
Full UK driving licence.
Ability to thrive in a fastâpaced and dynamic environment.
Flexibility to adapt to new tools, processes, and environments.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across teams.
The ability to take ownership of tasks and deliver highâquality results under time pressure.
