Senior Electrical Design Engineer
Dynisma is revolutionising the automotive and motorsport driving simulator market with its disruptive Motion Generator technology. Our cutting-edge approach to simulator design delivers more data about vehicle dynamics and ride to drivers and passengers with less latency and more accurately than any other motion simulators available.
Our CEO Ash Warne started the business in 2017 after leading the simulator programmes at McLaren and Ferrari F1 teams. We have since grown to a team of over 40 engineers, delivering turnkey driving simulators to customers including Ferrari F1 Team as well as a number of other marquee brands.
About the team:
We are a team of engineers experienced both in the design and manufacture of driving simulators, as well as their use in vehicle development. We develop, deliver and support outstanding, ground-breaking simulators and motion generators that support the engineering that leads to winning performance on the track.
The role:
Dynisma is redefining the design, build and operation of motion simulation technology, with highly disruptive products. Our technology targets the changing and expanding global markets for motion simulation including motorsport, automotive, defence and aviation.
We have world leading technical knowledge and are now searching for an outstanding Senior Electrical Design Engineer to work on the new model of motion generator which will be placed on the non-industial market.
Responsibilities
- Interpret requirements and produce design specifications.
- Produce technical documentation to support designs.
- Provide technical/functional input at all stages from concept through to in-service support.
- Specify electrical control panels and systems designs for subcontract design and manufacture.
- Create, review, and approve electrical documentation (schematics, schedules, calculations).
- Create and manage BoM data for electrical hardware.
- Be on company site for integration and commissioning of electrical power and control systems.
- Ensure engineering outputs meets quality and regulatory standards (EN60335; EN60204; ISO12100; EMC; EN13849; NFPA79; UL508A)Support cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement activities
- Support field installations in the UK but also globally
- Provide in-service support (maintenance/upgrades/ modifications)
Qualifications
Essential:
- 3-4 years’ experience in a relevant field of work (New product development/introduction)
- BSc, BEng, MSc, MEng in Electrical Engineering or other relevant field of study
Desired:
- Member of a professional institute/organisation
Skills and Experience
- Experience with the specification of electrical control panels.
- Experience in using an electrical CAD software
- Experience in using AutoCAD or Eplan.
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Ability to manage various tasks simultaneously
- Hands-on experience to support fault finding and building activities when required
