Dynisma is revolutionising the automotive and motorsport driving simulator market with its disruptive Motion Generator technology. Our cutting-edge approach to simulator design delivers more data about vehicle dynamics and ride to drivers and passengers with less latency and more accurately than any other motion simulators available.
The Team
We are a team of engineers experienced both in the design and manufacture of driving simulators, as well as their use in vehicle development. We develop, deliver and support outstanding, ground-breaking simulators and motion generators that support the engineering that leads to winning performance on the track.
The Role
We’re looking for a motivated and organised Automation Engineer to join our growing Simulation and Control team at Dynisma. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone early in their career (ideally 2–5 years' experience) to develop their skills and grow within a fast-paced, innovative engineering environment.
Responsibilities
- Commission motors and drives in Bristol and at customer sites
- Specify and test new motor and drive technology for test rigs and new products
- Work with Electrical and Lead Engineers to design electromechanical systems
- Specify, test and commission encoders for drive and safety applications
- Work with industrial automation networks, understand and improve their reliability
- Improve the way we manage our motors and drives through design changes
- Work with Simulation & Control Engineers to develop PLC code to diagnose motor, drive and encoder issues
What We’re Looking For
- A background in fields such as Engineering or Robotics
- Experience working with motors and servo drives
- Experience working with real-time systems such as TwinCAT preferred
- A methodical and rigorous approach to problem solving. Comfortable with a multi-meter and oscilloscope.
- Clear communication and the ability to work well in a team
- Determination, independence and a will to take responsibility - become the expert.
