We are now looking for a Cleaner to join our Facilities team at our Lincoln site, on a full-time basis.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Works Engineering & Facilities Manager, you will be part of a small, established Facilities team responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and hygienic working environment across our manufacturing site. You will undertake a variety of daily cleaning activities throughout the factory and associated areas, helping to ensure our facilities are maintained to a consistently high standard.
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Carrying out planned and routine cleaning activities across the factory and site.
- Working effectively as part of the Facilities team to ensure cleaning schedules and standards are maintained.
- Emptying, removing and segregating waste in accordance with company procedures.
- Safely handling and using cleaning chemicals, materials and machinery within your scope of work.
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and housekeeping at all times.
- Complying with Health & Safety requirements, company policies and site procedures.
- Reporting any hygiene, maintenance or Health & Safety hazards, defects or concerns to the appropriate manager.
- Supporting the wider Facilities team with general duties as required.
Working Hours
Monday – Thursday: 07:30 – 15:30 (30-minute unpaid lunch break)
Friday: 07:30 – 13:00 (no break)
Total: 35.5 hours per week
About You
We are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic and conscientious individual who takes pride in their work and can make a positive contribution to our Facilities team. You do not need previous experience within the semiconductor industry, as full training will be provided. However, you should have a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and the ability to work to a consistently high standard.
To be considered, you will ideally have:
- Recent experience in a commercial, industrial or similar cleaning role.
- Experience working within a manufacturing or industrial environment would be advantageous, but is not essential.
- An understanding of Health & Safety requirements and safe working practices.
- Knowledge of cleaning products, chemicals and equipment and their correct use.
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels.
- The ability to work independently, use initiative and also contribute positively as part of a team.
- A reliable and responsible approach to attendance and work.
