We're recruiting for a Technical Workshop Operative to join a busy and growing business in the Eastleigh/Chandlers Ford on a temporary-to-permanent basis. This role is far more than a standard warehouse position. It's a workshop where you'll be responsible for testing, inspecting and quality checking specialist equipment before it reaches customers, ensuring it is safe, fully operational and fit for purpose.
The Role
- Working within a workshop environment, you'll be responsible for:
- Testing equipment
- Carrying out quality inspections
- Completing testing sheets and quality control documentation accurately
- Identifying and reporting faults or defects
- Supporting engineers with equipment preparation and testing
- Picking and processing customer orders
- Loading and unloading equipment
- Assisting with stock control and inventory checks
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workshop environment
Accuracy is critical within this role. The testing and quality records you complete help ensure customers receive equipment that is safe, compliant and ready for use.

- We're looking for someone who:
- Enjoys practical, hands-on work
- Has a genuine interest in tools, trades, mechanics, engineering, electronics, DIY, assembly or technical equipment
- Takes pride in accuracy and attention to detail
- Enjoys problem-solving and understanding how things work
- Is reliable, organised and eager to learn
- Has basic IT skills
- Holds a Full UK Driving Licence
Previous experience within a workshop, engineering, manufacturing, assembly, quality control, maintenance or warehouse environment would be beneficial.
