The ideal Trainee Solar Installer will:
- Be confident using basic tools and enjoy practical work.
- Be able to carry solar panels.
- Have a practical, hands-on hobby or an interest where fixing or building is involved (Please ensure this is specified on your CV).
- Have some experience in a hands-on or trades environment — this could be anything from window fitting to another role where you’ve used tools.
- Most importantly, have the right attitude and enthusiasm to learn and build a career in renewables.

The Trainee Solar PV Installer role:
- 70% of the time you will work within a 30 minute radius of the Horsham office, however occasionally, travel up to 45 minutes away will be required. Overall the role is very local.
- Getting up on roofs and helping with the installation of solar PV panels.
- Carrying, positioning and securing panels and mounting systems.
- Installing and routing cabling neatly and safely.
- Helping with the DC side of the installation, including connecting panels and associated equipment.
