We are recruiting on behalf of a leading national provider of fire and security solutions who have a well-established Mechanical department with contacts covering Ansul, gas suppression, extinguishers, and sprinklers. With many years of industry experience, this team prides itself on delivering exceptional service and high-quality, reliable systems. They are now looking to expand their team, and they are looking for a Sprinkler Project Manager.
The role of a Sprinkler Project Manager:
As a Sprinkler Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the full project lifecycle of fire sprinkler installations, from liaising with the design teams, commercial teams, communicating and updating with the customers, and seeing the project through to the final handover. You will oversee the scheduling, budgeting, and execution of multiple projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a key role within the business, requiring strong leadership, technical expertise, and excellent project management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end process for sprinkler system projects, including overseeing design, installation, testing, and commissioning.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Oversee and coordinate the work of site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes of practice, and health and safety standards.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide updates on progress.
- Conduct risk assessments and proactively resolve any issues or delays that may arise during the project.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the project team, ensuring adherence to best practices and quality standards.
- Monitor project budgets and ensure cost control, reporting on financial status and performance to senior management.
- Ensure that all documentation, including project reports, certifications, and compliance paperwork, is completed accurately and on time.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in project management within the sprinkler industry.
- Strong knowledge of sprinkler system design, installation, and commissioning processes. Must have LPC certifications.
- In-depth understanding of relevant fire safety regulations and industry standards LPC.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams effectively.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Full UK driving license and flexibility to travel as required.
