Hours: full-time, on a 3-week rotating shift pattern - Monday to Friday (2 weeks) Wednesday to Sunday (1 week)
This role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day planning of operational activities, coordinating resources effectively and supporting the delivery of a safe, efficient and customer-focused service. Working in a fast-paced environment, you'll be responsible for planning operations, coordinating labour requirements and responding quickly to changing operational demands.

Key Responsibilities as a Transport Planner are as follows:
- Plan and coordinate daily operational activities to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Schedule and allocate operational resources to meet business requirements.
- Coordinate labour requirements and support operational teams.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external stakeholders.
- Respond quickly to operational changes and resolve planning issues.
- Monitor workloads and ensure deadlines are achieved.
- Maintain accurate operational records and planning information.
- Support continuous improvements to operational planning processes.
What We're Looking For as a Transport Planner:
- Previous experience within an operations, logistics or planning environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A proactive approach with strong problem-solving and negotiation abilities.
- High attention to detail and a conscientious work ethic.
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of operational priorities.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and work to strict deadlines.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Knowledge of Terminal Operating Systems would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Due to the nature of the role, flexibility is required, including working as part of a weekend rota.
