The employer: Stable, profitable FM (Facilities Maintenance) business with around £20M annual turnover and 150+ staff! Required: Experience in a Maintenance Assistant role, completing similar duties to the below    The role can be either site based or mobile, depending on the candidate. We’re happy to consider candidates who don’t drive and can reliably get to the main site to take part in a fully static role- As well as those who drive and are able to travel to other sites when required. Travel between sites will depend on the work needed and available resources.    The FM Maintenance Assistant Responsibilities Complete planned and reactive maintenance across buildings, including general repairs, fixtures, fittings, utilities and external areas. Respond to damage or maintenance issues on wards, carrying out repairs or making areas safe where needed. Carry out regular site checks, including fire alarms, emergency lighting, Legionella flushing and general safety/security inspections.   Manage contractor access to sites, including keys, fobs, access cards and security codes. Monitor contractors while they are on site, ensuring they follow the correct health and safety procedures and permits. Provide advice to staff and Service Managers on maintenance issues and support with resolving problems. Maintenance Assistant Benefits: Enhanced company sick pay – following the initial qualifying period, you'll receive up to 6 weeks full pay, followed by a further 6 weeks half pay. Full details are provided within your contract of employment. 24 days holiday, with the option to buy additional leave after 12 months. Strong support network including dedicated helpdesk and call out manager to handle initial calls. Comprehensive induction with a buddy system for your first few months.
