Change Specialist (Part-Time) Portsmouth | Hybrid Working | 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract | 30 Hours

We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established organisation for an experienced Change Specialist to join their IT & Business Transformation team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives on engaging stakeholders, driving adoption of change and ensuring projects deliver lasting business benefits.

Working 30 hours per week across five days, you'll play a pivotal role in developing and embedding change management practices across the organisation, supporting a varied portfolio of transformation projects.

The Role

As Change Specialist, you'll be responsible for creating and maintaining the organisation's change management framework, ensuring business change is effectively planned, communicated and adopted.

You'll work closely with project teams and senior stakeholders to develop structured change plans, minimise business disruption and maximise successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain the organisation's Change Management Framework, including standards, tools and best practice.
  • Create and deliver change management plans covering stakeholder engagement, communications, training, documentation and business readiness.
  • Carry out change impact assessments for projects and business initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business to identify and manage change impacts.
  • Define, monitor and report against project success measures.
  • Support IT Change Advisory Board (CAB) activities by ensuring business impacts are understood and communicated.
  • Assist with identifying and documenting risks associated with business change.
  • Develop communication plans for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure project documentation, including processes, procedures and policies, is created and maintained.
  • Work alongside Learning & Development teams to create effective training plans and supporting materials.

About You

  • Previous experience within Change Management or Business Transformation.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels, including senior leadership.
  • Experience working within IT-enabled change programmes.
  • An understanding of business systems such as CRM, contract management systems, data platforms or Microsoft Dynamics would be advantageous.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities and remain calm under pressure.
  • A collaborative and customer-focused approach.
