Dynamite Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a large, well-established company based in Christchurch who are expanding their Claims and Customer Service team. This role is ideal for candidates with customer service, call centre, retail, hospitality, or contact centre experience who are looking for a stable role with progression and long-term development.
Key responsibilities
- Handle inbound calls and written correspondence relating to travel insurance
- Assess customers' medical conditions in line with Travel insurance cover
- Clearly explain outcomes to customers
- Maintain accurate records on internal systems
- Provide a calm, supportive, and professional service to customers
Working hours
Monday to Friday: 8:00am - 9pm Monday to Sunday on a 5-week rota, 1 in 3 weekends although this may decrease. Hybrid working available after training and probation.
Skills and experience required
- Previous experience in a customer service role (retail, hospitality, call centre, contact centre, or similar)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident using computer systems
- Good numeracy skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional on high-volume calls
- Empathy and a customer-focused approach
