Our client is an established competitor in the Fire and Security industry. They have launched a training academy and require a Technical Support Manager to train, upskill and audit their academy trainees and current engineers. You must be an experienced Fire and Security Engineer and have a strong knowledge of fire and security systems.
MUST BE WILLING TO:
- Stay away 1 week a month for classroom based training
- Happy travelling over the North West
Your responsibilities as a Technical Support Manager:
- Provide exceptional training to trainee engineers
- Assess and train technicians in line with the British Standards
- Communicate effectively with trainees and their mentors
- Maintain the performance records of all technicians in the programme
- Conduct probationary review meetings, training path sign off and regular time on site to deliver both constructive and positive feedback
- Engaging, supporting, and managing employees in line with company policies and procedures to promote high productivity and growth within your department
- Constantly reinforce good practices around relevant standards and practices to discipline
- To be accountable for your team’s performance and monitor revenue during trainee loan working
- Managing the booking of rooms, hotels and any other facilities needed during academy classroom training
- Support the wider business with employee relations and people management
