This is a hands-on role, with a long standing business with over 150 staff!

Rather than focusing always on day-to-day reactive works, you’ll be trusted to lead jobs, manage projects and deal with more technically challenging situations.

  • Attend and take ownership of larger and more complex electrical call-outs .
  • Carry out electrical shut-downs and isolations safely and effectively.
  • Be authorised to access and work within

LV switch rooms and electrical panels , diagnosing faults and restoring systems where required.

  • Take responsibility for situations where you may be the first engineer on site , assessing an unfamiliar fault and determining the best course of action.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex electrical faults, potentially involving critical systems such as mains supplies, LV distribution and staff attack alarms .
  • Work confidently in high-pressure situations where systems may be down and a rapid, technically sound solution is required.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to other engineers when needed.
  • Complete electrical works to a high standard, ensuring all relevant safety and compliance procedures are followed.
  • While the role is primarily focused on leading projects and complex works, you’ll need to be open-minded and willing to get involved with smaller reactive jobs when required.

Benefits

  • Enhanced company sick pay – following the initial qualifying period, you'll receive up to 6 weeks' full pay, followed by a further 6 weeks' half pay.

Full details are provided within your contract of employment.

  • 24 days holiday, with the option to buy additional leave after 12 months.
  • Strong support network including dedicated helpdesk and call-out management.
  • Comprehensive induction with a buddy system for your first few months.
  • Family events, Christmas parties, wellbeing support and an excellent employee referral scheme.

We’re looking for an experienced electrician who is confident taking ownership of a job from the moment they arrive on site.

You’ll need strong fault-finding abilities, good technical judgement and the confidence to work independently in potentially challenging situations.

Most importantly, you’ll be someone who can walk into an unfamiliar electrical fault, assess what’s happening, think logically and take control of getting the issue resolved.
