This is an exciting opportunity for a technically strong Fire & Security SYSTEMS professional who's ready to step into a more senior role - WE DO NOT REQUIRE IT PROFESSIONALS.
People Management
- MUST HAVE FIRE AND SECURITY SYSTEMS KNOWLEDGE - from a previous background as a fire and security engineer.
- Approving/Declining annual leave and family leave types; administrating e-days to ensure records are accurate and up to date.
- Maintain accurate records of all current performance of all technicians in upskill programme.
- Ensure that all steps are adequately followed during all employee life cycles with the business, including probationary review meetings, training path sign off and regular time on site to deliver both constructive and positive feedback.
- Accountable for teams' performance and monitor revenue during trainee loan working.
- Assess and train technicians through a variety of platforms in line with British Standards and ensure they complete their training path as required.
- Work with your Service Manager to ensure fair management of staff by utilising company policy and procedure, using HR support where required to aid in the uplift of Capability or Conduct where required.
Training
- Assess and train technicians at the request of the SM as they move through their training path, supporting progression.
- Support future development utilising the Technician upskill programme.
- Audit technicians, identify any gaps in knowledge that need addressing and deliver either yourself or via another FLM.
- Attend training on site with technicians within your specialism once a month at our training hubs; have a clear understanding of your remit for each session you have with each technician.
- Where required and appropriate, train all staff on Fire Industry specifics through a variety of platforms.
