Electrical Design Engineer – Residential Building Services

Office-based near Chatham, Kent | Up to £55,000 | Mon–Fri, 8am–5pm

Working in the role

Based in the Kent office, you’ll be a key part of the design team. Your day-to-day will include:

  • Producing design packages (cable calculations, schematics, layouts, specifications)
  • Designing systems like lighting, power distribution, fire alarms, and security
  • Coordinating your designs into CAD drawings
  • Collaborating with other disciplines and supporting estimators when needed
  • Attending client meetings and offering technical input
  • Staying on top of evolving regulations and technologies

What We’re Looking For

  • 2+ years of experience in electrical design for residential building services (2D)
  • Must be commutable to the Kent office
  • Strong knowledge of cable calculations, schematics, and UK regulations
  • Confident, proactive, and able to work independently
  • Revit experience is a bonus (but not essential — they’ve got that covered!)
