Hours: Tuesday to Saturday, 8:45am - 5:15pm (42.5 hours per week)

Location: Alresford, Hampshire

Salary: Up to £35,000 DOE

We're recruiting for an enthusiastic and hands-on Assistant Store Manager to join a thriving independent retail destination. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a beautiful retail environment where customer experience is at the heart of everything you do.

Working closely with the Store Manager, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day operation of a large retail space, leading by example, supporting the team and ensuring every customer receives outstanding service.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Supporting the Store Manager with the smooth day-to-day running of the store.
  • Leading, motivating and developing the retail team.
  • Delivering exceptional customer service and confidently resolving customer queries.
  • Opening and closing the store, including cash handling and till procedures.
  • Maintaining high visual merchandising and presentation standards.
  • Supporting stock replenishment and ensuring products are accurately displayed and priced.
  • Assisting with staff training, rotas and operational planning.
