We’re looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join a busy finance team in Havant. This is an initially temporary opportunity, with the potential to become permanent for the right person. Please note that a permanent position is not guaranteed.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you’ll have a broad role across financial accounting, reporting and controls, while also overseeing members of the finance team.
The role You’ll be responsible for:
- Preparing monthly management accounts and financial reporting
- Balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls
- Preparing and submitting quarterly VAT returns
- Cashflow forecasting and analysis
- Fixed assets and capital expenditure
- Supporting budgets and business cases
- Leading on external audit and year-end
- Overseeing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Managing Direct Debit and BACS processes
- Supporting payroll journals and banking
- Improving finance processes and systems
We’re looking for someone with strong hands-on financial accounting experience, ideally with:
- Previous Finance Manager or similar senior finance experience
- Experience with management accounts, reconciliations and VAT
- External audit and year-end experience
- Previous experience managing or supervising finance staff
- Experience with Direct Debit processing
- Strong Excel and finance systems skills
- AAT qualified or part-qualified ACCA, ACA or CIMA
You’ll be organised, analytical and confident working to deadlines, with strong communication skills and a proactive approach.
