What we’re looking for:

  • Strong Dynamics NAV / Business Central consulting experience
  • Experience leading solution design, discovery workshops and requirements gathering
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing and wider business processes
  • Comfortable challenging assumptions and helping customers define the right solution, not just the solution they initially ask for
  • Able to provide technical guidance, mentoring and support to consultants and project teams
  • Experience supporting pre-sales activities, solution estimation, customer demonstrations and proposal development
  • Comfortable building trusted relationships with customers and helping shape their future roadmap and technology strategy
  • Commercially aware and understands the importance of balancing customer requirements, scope and budget
  • Experience working with third-party applications and integrations
  • Someone who takes ownership and enjoys being accountable for successful project outcomes

What you'll be doing:

  • Leading discovery workshops and solution design activities
  • Translating business requirements into practical Business Central solutions

  • Acting as the technical lead throughout project delivery
  • Supporting consultants and developers on project approach and design decisions

  • Supporting pre-sales activities and helping secure new business opportunities
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of our delivery processes and methodology

What you'll get:

  • Being part of a team that genuinely cares about doing things properly
  • Interesting and complex projects (not just cookie-cutter implementations)
  • Opportunity to shape solutions, mentor others and influence delivery standards
  • Competitive salary and benefits
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Birthday off
  • Flexible working, including the option of a 9-day fortnight (compressed hours)
  • Healthcare scheme

How to prepare for a job interview at Dynamics Consultants

Brush Up on Your Coding Skills

For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.

Know Your Tools and Frameworks

Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned. If Dynamics Consultants uses React or Node.js, for instance, be ready to discuss how we’ve used them in previous projects or coursework.

Showcase Your Projects

Bring along a portfolio that highlights our best work. This could be code samples, GitHub repositories, or any side projects we’ve built. Make sure we can talk through our thought process for each project, especially the challenges we faced and how we solved them—this shows our problem-solving skills in action.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines. Brush up on the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to clearly articulate our past experiences when discussing how we've contributed to a team.
