As part of a collaborative and well-established scientific team, you will have the opportunity to shape your role around your strengths, taking ownership of key accounts while contributing to the ongoing evolution and growth of the editorial function.
You will work across a diverse and high-impact portfolio spanning the full spectrum of medical communications, including congress activities, advisory boards, symposia, training programmes, digital platforms, and omnichannel initiatives.
As a truly independent agency, there is a strong emphasis on ownership and autonomy. You will be trusted to manage your work with minimal supervision, using your initiative to drive projects forward while still benefiting from a collaborative team environment.
Role Responsibilities -
Lead and Deliver
- Develop high-quality scientific content across a range of deliverables, including publications, slide decks, meetings, and digital assets
- Act as lead writer on key accounts and complex projects, ensuring scientific accuracy and strategic alignment
- Translate complex scientific data into clear, engaging, and audience-appropriate content
Client Partnership
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key opinion leaders
- Act as a trusted scientific advisor, contributing to strategic programme development
- Participate in and present at client meetings
Leadership and Mentorship
- Line manage and develop junior and senior writers
- Provide editorial review, feedback, and quality control
- Contribute to a collaborative and high-performing team culture
Project and Account Ownership
- Manage projects end-to-end, including timelines, budgets, and delivery
- Work cross-functionally with editorial, client services, digital, and creative teams
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and guidelines (e.g. ABPI, GPP)
Strategic and Commercial Contribution
- Support new business proposals and pitches
- Identify opportunities to expand client accounts and add value
Requirements -
- Degree in a life science (PhD or MSc desirable)
- Experience within medical communications (agency or pharma environment)
- Strong scientific writing and communication skills
- Experience working with clients and cross-functional teams
- High level of organisation, initiative, and attention to detail
- Understanding of industry guidelines and compliance requirements
