The Account Manager plays a crucial role within the company, serving as the key link between clients and internal teams, ensuring strong relationships and seamless project execution. They also play a vital role in mentoring and guiding junior team members in their career development. Beyond delivering on client briefs, the Account Manager proactively explores innovative and more effective strategies to achieve the client's overarching goals.
Managing various projects, you will take pride in delivering outstanding medical communications projects (including advisory board, symposia, congress activities, training materials, webinars etc) while staying highly organised and proactive to meet client needs. Driven to develop and exceed expectations across all accounts, you will serve as a mentor and role model to the junior team, setting the standard for quality and client service excellence.

Role & Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of client programmes, working closely with colleagues and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Manage client-related financial operations, collaborating with the finance team as needed to monitor budgets, recoverability, and final reconciliations.
- Assist senior team members in providing strategic counsel, refining insights, and identifying opportunities to enhance client outcomes.
- Oversee client teams and contribute to new business planning, working alongside senior personnel to expand client relationships.
- Identify potential challenges in programme delivery, proactively considering solutions and escalating to senior leadership when necessary.
- Ensure all materials meet high standards before client submission, minimising the need for senior-level revisions.
- Review team outputs, providing clear and constructive feedback on tone, messaging, and creative direction.
- Play an active role in developing strategic plans, proposals, and key client documents.
- Lead and participate in creative sessions to drive new business opportunities and organic growth.
- Represent the agency at client meetings and international events, ensuring seamless project execution.
- Assess project performance, identifying strengths and areas for future development.
- Continuously expand understanding of client businesses, industry trends, and competitive landscapes, making informed recommendations.
- Line manage and mentor junior team members, conducting performance reviews and supporting career development.
- Keep the team informed on priorities, deadlines, and key decisions, involving senior leadership as necessary.
- Refine feedback and coaching skills, fostering a culture of learning and growth within the team.
- Maintain and expand key industry contacts, sharing insights and opportunities with the team.
Requirements:
- Degree (science, preferably life science).
- High level of drive, motivation, and initiative.
- Able to travel to international events.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
