This is an excellent opportunity to join an exciting, independent, growing Medical Communications agency with a thriving Client Services team! As the Director of Client Services, you will have the opportunity to shape your role to fit your strengths and be instrumental in the ongoing development and growth of the company.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a range of projects across the full spectrum of medical communications activities, including congress activities, training materials, websites, and digital apps.
Role & Responsibilities:
- The Director of Client Services is responsible for ensuring the agency’s mission, vision, strategic and business goals are achieved.
- Work with the Business Development Director to drive business development and the winning of new accounts within client companies and new companies.
- Leading new business initiatives, including attendance and presentation at pitch meetings.
- Manage the delivery of business accounts.
- Lead and motivate the team to fulfil their potential and assume responsibility appropriate to their position.
- Provide leadership to the medical team in addition to CSD responsibilities.
- Forecasts headcount and ensures efficient operational allocation of resources to accounts.
- Ensures financial and operational metrics are achieved.
- Ensures adherence to international, national and industry-specific compliance guidelines.
- Acts as a leader and role model of the agency’s culture, behaviours and values.
Requirements:
- Degree (science, preferably life science).
- High level of drive, motivation, and initiative.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate, lead by example, train, mentor, develop and share best practice.
- Strategic operational management and financial experience in medical education and communication.
- Proven ability to work as part of a senior management team to develop business plans, set staffing levels, service metrics and KPIs.
- Track record of leadership of new business proposals and pitches from scientific and commercial perspectives.
- Ability to problem-solve effectively and make decisions.
- Travel globally for congresses and client meetings.
