We are looking for a Senior Solutions Consultant to take ownership of the technology and vendor direction of the business. This is a non‑customer‑facing, internal role focused on defining where the organisation goes next from a technology and services perspective. Operating at a CTO‑adjacent level, you will look across a multi‑vendor landscape, with strong emphasis on networking and infrastructure technologies, to guide strategic investment and portfolio decisions. This role is not about individual products, deals, or delivery execution. It exists to ensure the business has a clear, coherent and future‑focused technology strategy across its managed services and solutions portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and evolve the technology and solutions roadmap across the business
- Assess and shape a multi‑vendor portfolio, ensuring balance, relevance and differentiation
- Lead evaluation of existing and emerging technologies, identifying where to invest, grow or exit
- Work closely with the CTO and senior leadership team to align technology strategy with business objectives
- Define internal solution principles, reference architectures and standards
- Act as the internal authority on vendor capabilities, overlap and positioning
- Provide strategic direction to presales, architecture and delivery teams (not deal‑based support)
- Ensure consistency across networking, security, cloud, collaboration and managed services offerings
What We’re Looking For
- Senior experience within a managed services provider, VAR or systems integrator
- Strong technical background across enterprise networking and infrastructure
- Deep experience with Cisco technologies, alongside exposure to wider vendor ecosystems
- Previous roles such as: Head of Solutions, Senior / Principal Solutions Architect, Presales Director, Practice Lead, Chief Architect (partner‑side)
- Proven ability to think portfolio‑wide, beyond individual vendors or products
- Comfortable operating in strategic, ambiguous environments and shaping direction
Highly Desirable
- Experience influencing technology investment and roadmap decisions
- Exposure to cloud platforms, security and collaboration technologies
- Background in shaping or evolving managed service propositions
