The Opportunity

We’re working with a high-growth professional services organisation delivering advanced Cisco networking solutions to enterprise customers across the UK. They are looking for a Senior Network Engineer with strong design and implementation experience across Cisco LAN and campus networks to join their expanding team. This is a customer-facing, project-led role, where you’ll play a key part in delivering complex network transformation and refresh programmes across large enterprise environments.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Designing and implementing Cisco LAN and campus network solutions for enterprise clients
  • Leading end-to-end project delivery (HLD / LLD through to deployment and handover)
  • Acting as a technical lead on customer engagements, providing consultancy and best practice guidance
  • Delivering network refresh, upgrade, and transformation projects across switching, routing and wireless
  • Ensuring networks are built for resilience, performance, and scalability
  • Collaborating with internal and customer stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
  • Occasionally visiting customer sites (approx. 10%)

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong hands-on experience across:
    • Cisco LAN / Campus networking (Catalyst switching, enterprise routing)
    • Routing & switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, etc.)
    • Wireless networking (Cisco WLC / enterprise Wi‑Fi)
    • Design + implementation (not just BAU/support)
    • Delivering end-to-end network projects
    • Working in professional services / customer‑facing environments

Nice to Have

  • Cisco certifications (CCNP / CCIE)
  • Experience with network security (ISE, Firepower) or SDA (Software-Defined Access)
  • Exposure to datacentre, cloud, or SD-WAN technologies
