Overview

We are working with a leading professional services organisation looking to hire a Technical Pre-Sales Engineer to support enterprise customers across complex networking opportunities. This role is focused on solution design, bid ownership, and stakeholder engagement rather than hands-on delivery. You’ll play a key part in shaping enterprise LAN and campus network solutions, supporting large-scale tenders and customer engagements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical pre-sales lifecycle from qualification through to solution sign-off
  • Own and contribute to bids, tenders, and RFP/RFI responses
  • Design enterprise LAN and campus network solutions aligned to customer requirements
  • Work closely with sales teams to scope, position, and close opportunities
  • Translate business requirements into scalable, high-level technical designs (HLDs)
  • Present solutions to stakeholders including technical and non-technical audiences
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers across networking strategy and architecture
  • Collaborate with internal delivery teams to ensure smooth handover post-sale

Required Experience

  • Proven experience in a pre-sales / solutions engineering role (NOT hands-on engineering focus)
  • Strong background supporting enterprise LAN / campus networking environments
  • Demonstrated experience working on bids, tenders, and large RFP processes
  • Experience working within a professional services or consultancy environment
  • Solid understanding of: Switching
