Roles & Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the organisation's IT strategy, ensuring alignment with wider business objectives and future growth plans.
  • Oversee the performance, availability, and continuous improvement of business-critical infrastructure, systems, and applications.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop an internal IT team while managing relationships with outsourced service providers and technology partners.
  • Manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effective technology investments and optimisation of operational expenditure.
  • Deliver IT projects from inception through to completion, ensuring successful outcomes within agreed timescales and budgets.
  • Drive technology innovation by identifying and implementing new tools, platforms, and processes that enhance business operations.
  • Maintain responsibility for IT security, compliance, governance, and risk management across the organisation.
  • Manage vendor relationships, service reviews, supplier performance, and contract negotiations.
  • Oversee software licensing, asset management, renewals, and cost optimisation across the technology estate.
  • Coordinate third-party support providers and ensure incidents and service requests are resolved efficiently.
  • Manage the lifecycle of end-user devices, mobile technologies, telecoms services, and associated suppliers.
  • Act as the key IT stakeholder across the business, ensuring strong communication and alignment between technical and non-technical teams.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery, business continuity, and risk mitigation plans.

Your Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in IT Management with a strong background leading technology teams and business-critical IT functions.
  • Experience developing and delivering IT strategies that support organisational growth and operational excellence.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, business systems, networking, and enterprise technologies.
  • Demonstrable experience managing IT budgets, suppliers, outsourced service providers, and commercial technology partnerships.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity, data protection, governance, and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience delivering complex IT projects and transformation initiatives.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and communicate across all levels of the business.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with experience developing high-performing teams.
  • Commercially minded with strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on operational leadership.
  • Experience within a technology-led, managed services, or fast-paced commercial environment would be advantageous.
