The Role
We are seeking a hands-on EUC & VDI Manager to lead a team of up to 8 engineers, including project delivery and support staff. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the stability, performance, and evolution of our End User Computing services, delivering large enterprise-scale virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Management: Lead and manage a blended team of support and delivery engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture. Provide mentorship, conduct performance reviews, and support professional development across the team.
- Delivery Oversight: Manage the delivery of cloud based EUC services from Citrix and VMware. Own the planning, design, and delivery of EUC solutions using Citrix and VMware technologies. Oversee the implementation of new solutions and upgrades, ensuring alignment with business needs and technical best practices.
- Support Management: Oversee day-to-day support operations, including incident management, ticket queue oversight, and escalation handling. Ensure SLAs are met and service quality remains high across all EUC platforms.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the key contact between the EUC team and IT/business stakeholders. Translate business requirements into technical plans and provide updates on project progress, risks, and outcomes.
- Technical Direction & Continuous Improvement: Promote ongoing optimization of EUC services through process improvement, automation, and adoption of modern technologies. Keep up with trends and developments in EUC/VDI and assess their potential value to the organization.
- Resource & Project Coordination: Manage resource allocation across support and project work. Support budget planning and ensure timely, cost-effective delivery of initiatives.
About You
- Proven Team Leadership: You’ve managed technical teams and know how to balance support and project delivery.
- Must have EUC Expertise: Strong experience designing, implementing, and supporting Citrix and/or VMware VDI solutions (e.g., Omnissa, Horizon View, XenDesktop).
- Enterprise Experience: You’ve worked in large-scale environments and understand the complexities of delivering robust, scalable solutions.
- Customer-Focused: Committed to delivering exceptional user experiences and driving measurable service improvements.
- Strong Communicator: Able to communicate clearly with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- Desirable: Experience with Azure or hybrid cloud EUC models.
