This is a key role within Sales / Business Development, responsible for owning and coordinating high-quality bid and proposal responses across IT Managed Services and transformation projects. The Bid Specialist manages the full bid lifecycle from opportunity review and bid/no-bid support through to final submission, ensuring responses are compelling, accurate, and fully compliant.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Leading and managing responses to RFPs, ITTs, RFQs, RFIs, and framework mini-competitions.
- Analysing tender documents to understand client requirements, evaluation criteria, and scoring models.
- Developing bid plans, timelines, and review cycles to ensure on-time delivery.
- Writing and editing clear, persuasive, customer-focused responses across technical, service, commercial, and management sections.
- Tailoring standard content (service descriptions, SLAs, transition, security, onboarding) to specific client needs.
- Coordinating inputs from Sales, Solutions, Service Delivery, and Commercial teams.
- Supporting pricing responses, assumptions, and risk commentary alongside Sales and Finance.
- Running bid governance, reviews, and internal approvals.
- Maintaining and improving a structured bid content library and feeding lessons learned back into future bids.
